On a dark night the hour. I look outstanding two dark shadows: there, behind the white curtain, where the lamp burns, in a field of light, two shadows of the night ... Alone in front of each other, alone for each other in thirst and thirst, there - the shadow of a man and the shadow of a woman. He bows his head painfully, they will not be heard: they want and cannot. They may be whispering - what are they afraid of! Tense hands reach out to hands and yet they do not touch! They want and they can't ... And again, they stand in front of each other, for each other. They may be whispering, but they may be shouting, but they may be shouting; - they will not be heard, two shadows of the night, through so much light ... They will not be heard, they will touch us, alone for each other in thirst and thirst, they - the shadow of a man and the shadow of a woman!
