집에 있는 마스크를 모으면 사진의 것보다 더 많은 종류가 된다. 어느날 갑자기는 이 마스크가 없어 전국민이 순번을 정해가며 한참씩 줄을 서가며 구입을 한적도 있으니, 모두들 이 마스크에 관해서는 할 이야기가 많을듯해 나까지 보태지는 않겠다.
산책을 나섰다. 날이 추여져서인지 갑갑하다고 야외에 사람도 없다고 내렸다 올렸다 하던 마스크를 잘도 착용하고 걷는 자신을 보았다. 참 사람이 간사하기 그지없다.
믄득 또 새삼 간절한 올해의 소원 넘버 3 안에 "마스크 벗기"를 넣어야 겠다는 생각이 새해도 시작된지 보름이 되가는 지금에서야 해본다.
