The dream catchers - good luck

in hive-197809 •  5 months ago

For Native Americans, dream catchers, which today are used as bedroom decorations, served, as their name implies, to keep nightmares away.

The origin of this belief dates back to the story of Nokomis who observed a large spider web growing in the house every day, until her granddaughter decided to kill the spider that was weaving it.

The woman explained to the little girl that she couldn't do it, because that spider's web served to protect her and to let only her beautiful dreams in, while also attracting her positive energies.
