The electromagnetic spectrum is the energy distribution of the set of electromagnetic waves, this spectrum ranges from radio waves whose wavelength is 1,000 meters to gamma rays whose wavelength is 1 billionth of a meter (10E-12) and they are used, among other things, to find out the chemical composition of stars.

This frequency range has not been much studied because for electronic chips that work at GHz it is too fast and for optical chips it is too slow because they work at much higher frequencies, but a group of scientists have developed an identifier device in the style of the RFID (Radio Frecuency ID) but using the THz band (TFID).
Este rango de frecuencia no se ha estudiado mucho porque para los chips electrónicos que funcionan a GHz es demasiado rápido y para los chips ópticos es demasiado lento porque funcionan a frecuencias mucho más altas, pero un grupo de científicos ha desarrollado un dispositivo de identificación al estilo de RFID (ID de radiofrecuencia) pero utilizando la banda THz (TFID).
Basically it is an extremely small and super cheap piece of silicon capable of doing everything that current RFID tags can do but much faster, being so small they do not need any type of antenna and it can also be used to label many more objects and much smaller to achieve their traceability.
Básicamente se trata de un pedazo de silicio extremadamente pequeño y super barato capaz de realizar todo lo que las actuales etiquetas RFID pueden hacer pero mucho más rápido, al ser tan pequeñas no necesitan ningún tipo de antena y además puede utilizarse para etiquetar muchos más objetos y mucho más pequeños para conseguir su trazabilidad.
